A. Zero Remote Data Transmission (100% On-Device Processing)

Sticker Maker is built on a strict privacy-first, on-device architecture. The App functions as a local sticker creation, photo editing, and sticker pack management utility. We do not operate external file servers, remote databases, or cloud processing systems. Your personal photos, camera captures, and created stickers never leave your device:

  • Photos and Created Stickers: Any photos you select from your gallery or take with the camera to edit, crop, decorate, or convert into stickers are processed entirely locally in real-time on your device.
  • On-Device Machine Learning (Background Removal): Any automatic background cutout or selfie segmentation features utilize on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit). The AI models run completely offline on your device hardware; your images are never transmitted to cloud servers for processing.
  • Local Database Storage: Your custom sticker packs, sticker assets, tray icons, and metadata are saved strictly inside the App’s local database (SQLite/Room) within your device’s private internal storage sandbox.
  • Zero Tracking or Content Monetization: We do not scan, collect, inspect, upload, sell, or monetize your personal photos, artwork, or custom stickers.

B. Information Collected Automatically by Third-Party Ad Networks

To provide free access to all sticker creation tools, background removal features, and WhatsApp export options, the App integrates Google AdMob (Google Play Services) to serve banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements. Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-personally identifiable diagnostic and advertising data, including:

  • Google Advertising ID (GAID / AAID)
  • Device brand, manufacturer, model, screen resolution, and Android operating system version
  • IP address (used solely to infer coarse geographic region for localized ad delivery)
  • Advertising metrics (such as ad impressions, click interactions, and loading diagnostics)

Google’s processing of advertising data is governed by the Google Ads Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

2. Device Permissions and Why They Are Needed

Sticker Maker requests only the permissions strictly required to perform core sticker generation tasks and deliver advertisements safely:

  • android.permission.CAMERA: Required only if you choose to take a photo directly inside the App to turn into a sticker. The camera stream is used solely for capturing your image locally; no video or live streams are recorded, uploaded, or transmitted.
  • Photo / Media Picker: Used to allow you to select images from your gallery to edit into stickers using standard Android system picker dialogs.
  • android.permission.INTERNET: Required solely to communicate with Google AdMob servers for loading advertisements and verifying network status.
  • android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to verify active network connectivity before requesting ad resources.
  • com.whatsapp.sticker.READ: Implemented via an internal Content Provider (StickerContentProvider) to allow WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business to read and import your approved sticker packs.

The App does NOT request or access sensitive capabilities such as Microphone, Contacts, GPS Location, SMS, Call Logs, or Phone State.

3. How We Use Your Information

We utilize permissions and technical data solely to:

  • Allow you to capture, crop, edit, cutout, and convert images into stickers.
  • Organize, save, and manage custom sticker packs locally on your device.
  • Export and add customized sticker packs seamlessly to WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business.
  • Display banner and interstitial ads through Google AdMob to keep the application 100% free for all users.
  • Prevent ad fraud, monitor application performance, and comply with Google Play Developer Program policies.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell, rent, license, or share your personal data, photos, or sticker files with any third-party marketing companies, data brokers, or advertisers. The only third-party service integrated into the application is Google AdMob, which operates subject to Google’s privacy and security standards in compliance with international privacy regulations (including GDPR and CCPA).

5. Data Retention and User Deletion Rights

Because all sticker packs, images, and user preferences are stored exclusively on your local device:

  • You retain 100% ownership and control over your photos and stickers at all times.
  • Deleting Sticker Data: Any stickers or packs you delete inside the App are permanently removed from your internal app storage immediately.
  • Resetting App Preferences: You can clear all cached data and local sticker databases at any time by navigating to Android Settings → Apps → Sticker Maker → Storage → Clear Storage / Clear Data.
  • Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling the App completely removes all internal sticker databases and cached configurations from your device.

6. Children’s Privacy

Sticker Maker is a general utility application designed for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.

Sticker Maker is an independently developed Android utility. This App is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc., or Google LLC.
