Welcome to BMI+ . Your trust and privacy are of utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy outlines our strict data privacy practices and explains how limited information is processed when you use our mobile application 

1. Completely Offline-First & Local Storage Design

BMI+ operates entirely offline-first. All personal health records, weight history, target goals, daily habit logs (water intake, exercise, sleep), reminder configurations, and profile metrics (height, weight, age, gender) are stored locally on your mobile device in a secure SQLite/Room database and local preferences. We do not operate or host remote proprietary servers, nor do we collect, sync, transfer, or transmit your database information. Your health configurations and personal logs stay 100% in your own possession.

2. Health Calculations & Personal Metrics

When you input your personal measurements into the app, it dynamically calculates health metrics such as Body Mass Index (BMI), Body Fat Percentage (BFP), Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), and Ideal Body Weight (IBW).

  • This calculation data is processed strictly on your device locally.
  • We never upload, transfer, compile, or share your physical attributes or health logs with any external servers, third parties, or remote systems.

3. Google AdMob Advertisements

To keep BMI+ completely free and accessible to everyone, we display advertisements powered by the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). AdMob may collect and process anonymous technical identifiers to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, perform analytics, and detect fraud.

4. Android Permissions Utilized & Narrow Scope

BMI+ requests and utilizes only the minimal required permissions to operate reliably:

  • INTERNET: Used solely to load third-party advertisements (Google AdMob) and standard network checks.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check network connectivity before attempting to load ad requests.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used only to display scheduled local reminders for water intake, weight tracking, and daily habits set by the user.

5. Security of Your Local Data & Deletion

You remain in complete custody and control of your health data:

  • You can edit or delete individual logs directly within the app.
  • You can clear all application data at any time via your device settings: Settings > Apps > BMI+ > Storage > Clear Data.
  • Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored records, habit logs, and preferences from your device.

6. Medical & Health Disclaimer

BMI+ is designed solely for informational, educational, and general wellness tracking purposes. The calculations and estimates provided by the app (including BMI, Body Fat, BMR, and TDEE) are based on standard mathematical formulas and should not be considered professional medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or a treatment plan. Always consult a qualified physician or healthcare provider regarding any health condition or weight management program.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. While our services are safe for general audiences, we do not knowingly track or process identifiers for individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA/UK), in compliance with COPPA and global privacy frameworks.

8. Policy Updates & Consent

We may update our Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect app updates or regulatory changes. Continued use of BMI+ signifies your acceptance of these terms.
